We are pleased to announce the addition of the Nikkiso Collection to our Virtual Collections. Established in 1953, Nikkiso has made major contributions, in particular in Japan, to artificial organ technologies including the early development of the artificial heart, dialysis equipment and therapy, and the development of the bedside artificial pancreas. As noted in this contribution: “the primary driving force of our engineers in developing new products is the consideration of for the sake of the patients”.
